What stops
FoundrySuite will not start. It tells you the trial has ended, tells you the date it ended on, and stops. That is the entire mechanism — there is no remote switch, no feature that degrades, and no part of the product that quietly stops answering.
It also tells you where to buy, from inside the program. You will not have to remember this page, or go hunting through your email for a receipt: the license panel counts your trial down from the first day, and when it reaches zero it says the trial is over and offers you the purchase link. The deadline is never something you discover by being locked out.
What does not stop
Your data. Everything you entered stays in the folder it is in: your contacts, your pipeline, your invoices, your ledger. Nothing is deleted, nothing is moved, nothing is held back. Buying a license later reopens the same installation with all of it intact.
What you buy afterwards is permanent: the license never expires, the program refuses to put an end date on it, and the monthly options are payment schedules, not rentals.
We cannot switch it back on. That is on purpose. The trial is a thirty-day window with no extension mechanism, because a deadline you can extend by asking is not a deadline. If you reach day 31 and want the software, the answer is to buy it — which is a real transaction, and we would rather it were one than a conversation.

What happens to my data if I do not buy?
Your local database remains untouched on your disk. Even after the 30-day UI trial expires, you can export 100% of your contacts, invoices, and ledger entries to standard CSV/SQLite formats with zero lock-in.
Does the trial phone home, or check in with you?
Never. The trial binary contains zero telemetry, zero analytics beacons, and makes zero outbound network calls.
Can I use it on more than one machine?
Yes, during your 30-day evaluation you can install the trial on multiple machines to test workflows across your team.
Is my trial data carried over if I buy a license?
Automatically. Entering your cryptographic license key unlocks your existing installation in place—every contact, quote, invoice, and journal entry you created stays right where it is.
What does the installer actually put on my machine?
The self-contained FoundrySuite application binary, the local SQLite double-entry database inside your user application directory, and the quantized local AI model weights. Uninstalling removes everything cleanly.
Do I need a fast machine?
Any modern Windows, macOS, or Linux workstation with 8GB+ RAM runs the CRM and accounting ledger instantaneously. For local AI drafting and summarization, 16GB RAM (or dedicated GPU/NPU acceleration) provides near-instant token generation.
What the trial is for
It exists so you can put a month of real work into it before spending money, which is the only way to find out whether software suits you.
